Lawrence Graham advises on debt financing of £139m purchase of 19 storey City office by German fund manager

International business law firm Lawrence Graham ("LG") has advised German banks Deutsche Hypo and Deutsche Postbank on the debt funding of the £139 million purchase of 30 Crown Place by German fund manager Hannover Leasing.

The 19-storey office in the City of London, which covers 198,000 sq ft, was bought by Hannover Leasing from Greycoat Central London Office Fund.

LG's head of Banking, Nick Turner, led the team which included Corporate Tax partner Elliot Weston, senior associate Duncan MacLaurin from the firm's Real Estate practice and Hajera Memon from Finance.

Nick Turner said: "We have strong German banking relationships which continue to remain active notwithstanding a difficult funding market. We have acted on a number of large investment facilities for German lenders during the last 12 months and expect this trend to continue."

Hannover Leasing was advised by Berwin Leighton Paisner while Macfarlanes advised Greycoat Central London Office Fund. The property is the London headquarters of Pinsent Masons.
